It definitely isn't drying on my under-eyes, however it isn't specifically hydrating. I personally find the Tarte formula to be so long-wearing and it's incredibly crease-proof it's a product I reach for when I need something that's going to look flawless all day long. I've seen a lot of people say that these two concealers are really similar formula-wise but I actually have to disagree! The Shape Tape is a little more opaque (though I'd still say the Too Faced is full-coverage, the consistency is much more watery) and has a very slightly thicker texture. The Too Faced one has a bit more of a dip in it so scoops up more product than the Tarte. Too Faced Peach Perfect Instant Coverage Concealer is available now. Both concealers have a large doe-foot applicator, which makes it easy to cover the amount of surface area you need to get a good layer on under the eyes. I promise that’s not a good idea however, if you can snag Too Faced Peach Perfect Instant Coverage Concealer I wouldn’t completely pass it up! It didn’t crease nor cake and it remained quite long-wearing when set with powder.ĭon’t pay full price. It’s not a great concealer, heck, it isn’t even a good concealer but I can see myself using this for quickie errands out or when I want to do a really minimal, natural look on the weekends. I can see myself using this on the weekends when I just want something to make my eyes look fresher and more awake. The color I selected was spot on as I tan easily and right now I have a good deal of warmth to my skin so the slight peachiness of the shade was a perfect pick for my tone. But for anyone suffering from dark circles I’d say this is a skip. It did brighten up my tired eyes and made them look fresher and more awake. It’s not crazy pigmented the way they promise. Too Faced Peach Perfect Instant Coverage Concealer Swatches (Honeycomb) It sort of reminds me of the old the Balm Time Balm Concealer that everyone used to be absolutely ape sh1t over that I hated it but not as emollient. Ok, so, not PERFECT as I did need to tug a little bit to get it fully blended but not nearly as bad as I had feared. I applied a moisturizing eye serum first and followed up with a rich eye cream before applying this. As someone who is prone to drier eyes I tend to over prep to make sure my concealer doesn’t look cakey and dry under my eyes. It’s very firm so that along told me it was going to be a difficult one to pull off under my eyes. I knew from the get go this was going to be crazy dry and difficult to blend under my eyes. The brush is a good one as it’s ideal for “painting” concealer on and allowing you to blend easily with your finger. Concealer Brush for this job as I don’t normally use a concealer brush but sometimes you have to haul one out for jobs like this. The texture is very firm and not terribly creamy. However, if you are drier I’d say you’ll find it clings to drier areas since it is rather drying. That being said, I could see this working quite well as a spot concealer as you can just dot it out and easily buff it in. They never truly mention this as an undereye concealer but of course, that’s how I used it because I don’t apply concealer anywhere else. They called it a super pigmented, waterproof cream concealer with a “comfortable matte” finish that contains Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E. Please don’t pay $22 for it, you’ll hate yourself later. It arrives in a glass jar holds 0.24 oz of concealer and will set you back $22. Maybelline’s formula was a soft, creamy whipped texture but Too Faced went with a denser, firmer concealer. Too Faced Peach Perfect Instant Coverage Concealer is in no way like Maybelline’s version sadly. I’m actually glad I never dove right in and paid full price for it because it’s just as crappy as you’ve been hearing about but on sale? On sale I can make this stuff work like a boss. Sephora had some daily deal thing and this was one of the items on sale. I got it for $12 or $15 I can’t remember the exact price but I didn’t pay full price. If it was available at Ulta (the Peaches and Cream Collection is exclusive to Sephora) I’d say you’d say it during the 21 Days of Beauty but since it isn’t I’m sure Sephora will offer it on some sale soon. Like most of the Peaches and Cream Collection sooner or later you’ll be able so snag Too Faced Peach Perfect Instant Coverage Concealer for $10 or $12 when it either goes on clearance or Sephora offers some daily deal on it. You may remember the utter joy I felt when Too Faced Peach Perfect Instant Coverage Concealer launched earlier this year because I was every so hopeful that it would be Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Concealer which is long gone but never truly forgotten!
